International Jazz Festival

The mother of all Montreal festivals, the Jazz Fest brings together 2 million music lovers every year and has been named "the largest jazz festival in the world" by the Guinness book of world records.

Former performers include Ray Charles, Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, Paul Anka, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, and many, many more!

Three quarters of the shows are outdoors and free while the big ticket performers present shows indoors to enthusiastic crowds. The 2004 edition marked the 25th anniversary and a joint extravaganza with Cirque du Soleil (celebrating its 20th year) attracted a record crowd of 205 000 people!

The Jazz Fest also stages shows year round.
